At almost 40, Daniel is still figuring out how to raise his 12-year-old son, Lucas, alone after the loss of his wife. When he stumbles upon a love letter Lucas has written to a boy from school, his clumsy attempt to “handle” the situation exposes the gap between his well-meaning intentions and the outdated views he still carries. Yet, in the silence that follows, Daniel is forced to confront an uncomfortable truth: maybe it’s not only Lucas who needs to grow up, but himself.
“Wildflowers” is a tender story about modern fatherhood.

Based on research and interviews conducted over a three-year period, the project won a pitching competition for a free sound mixing process by Cinecolor, considered to be the best post-production company in Latin America. Screened at more than 40 international film festivals, including 36th Vancouver International, 35th Reeling Chicago, 33th Wicked Queer Boston, 25th Queer Screen - Mardi Gras, and winning five awards to date (including ‘Best National Short Film’ – Overcome Film Festival).
